A Jar for My Tears

Cancer is such a scary word. It stirs up emotions of fear and dread unlike almost any other word. But Breast Cancer is even scarier for a woman, because those two words signify a loss of everything that makes her uniquely feminine.

For Jane Wilson, author of A Jar for My Tears, those words changed her world, and those fears became a reality. Diagnosed at the age of 40 with advanced breast cancer, she discovered that fighting breast cancer was not just a physical battle, but also a battle for her emotions and her faith. Although surrounded by supportive loved ones and friends, Jane found her greatest hope and peace while spending time journaling and listening to scripture. It was during those times that God began to stress to Jane the importance of saturating herself in the Word, which pushed away fear, led to a renewed faith, and provided the peace that she so desperately sought.

So in order to help others cope with their diagnosis, Jane created a journal full of hope and encouragement in which a breast cancer patient can chronicle her journey, record her hopes and fears, and find the solace and peace that only God's Word can bring.
